Local humanitarian actors’ perspectives on the Advisory Panel’s vision paper

Share post

The Advisory Panel on the Future of Humanitarian Action, facilitated by NEAR and ODI Global/HPG has spent recent months consulting on its Vision Paper across the sector.

A central part of this work has been structured dialogues with diverse leaders on the frontline of humanitarian action – designed to test the Panel’s ideas against lived realities, deepen understanding of how local civil society sees the future, and ensure that recommendations are grounded in community experience.

These exchanges have challenged assumptions, sharpened the analysis, and strengthened the credibility of the Panel’s emerging propositions. As the work continues, we are sharing a selection of reflections from the Global South that speak directly to current policy debates – hear their voices as you read through the visual.
