Central America Lab

Overview

The CRGR promotes the localization laboratory in at least two countries: Guatemala and El Salvador, through the analysis and discussion of the movement in the year of 2024 and 2025.

The National Roundtables are aware of the issue, the organizations of El Salvador and Guatemala, participate in the spaces of discussion at the regional and global level, on the progress of the regional localization strategy promoted by NEAR.

This allows access to information that provides the elements for the construction of the strategy of dialogue with donors from the CRGR and the management of resources to contribute to the actions of the localization laboratory at the national level.

There are organizations in Central America committed to the initiative: Guatemala: ASECSA, ASEDE, ADAM, ACCSS (all members of the COCIGER/CRGR Table). El Salvador: PRO-VIDA, CORDES, FUMA, CRIPDES (all members of MPGR/CRGR). Nicaragua: FECODESA (member of the MNGR/CRGR). Honduras: OCDIH, ADEPES (no member of the MNIGR of Honduras).

There is a commitment from NEAR member organizations to promote the issue in the CRGR National Roundtables, to jointly develop an advocacy plan for the management of the localization of humanitarian aid at the country level.

Without direct financing and without simplification of rules, the location will remain in discourse.
