Any organisation which is a local and/or national organisation rooted in the Global South can become a member. This may include a community based organisation, a non-governmental or civil society organisation.

Our members are committed to changing the humanitarian/development aid architecture ; and committed to the mission, vision and values of the network.

When you become a member of NEAR you would

• Shape the agenda: Together, our combined knowledge and experience will have a real impact in closing the gap between the aid system and the communities it aims to serve

• Have a strong and effective voice: You will gain unparalleled access and influence locally, nationally, and internationally with policymakers and other stakeholders where NEAR is recognised as a credible voice for local actors.

• Access a global network: You will be able to directly access and engage with global, regional and national members and partners of NEAR
